Heather James earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and a second Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs both from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Prior to joining the CSU community, Heather worked at the University of Northern Colorado for eight years with Fraternity and Sorority life, student activities, and student conduct.
Heather is a firm believer in student success through campus involvement and helping students find their sense of belonging. She encourages students to make the most of their college experience by utilizing campus resources and engaging in activities both in and out of the classroom. She values building relationships with students to foster growth and development. In her role, Heather enjoys fusing her love of the performing arts and passion for working with college students.
In her free time, Heather enjoys singing, being active, and crafting. She is an avid Jane Austen fan and dog lover. Most importantly she loves spending time with her family and taking advantage of all that Colo. has to offer.
