SUMMARY:Interspecies Journey: A residency with JoAnna Mendl Shaw and The Eq
 uus Projects
DESCRIPTION:The guest artist residency explores the physical dialogue betwe
 en people and equines. The Equus Projects residency is in collaboration wi
 th CSU Equine Sciences. We invite students\, faculty\, community members\,
  and equines\, together\, to explore physical dialogue and understanding t
 hrough collaborative workshops in shared spaces.\n\n“. . . sharpen our n

 ared dialogue and intersections of interdisciplinary and interspecies work

 Hastdans pa Hovdala (60 min.)\nAbout the guest\nJoAnna Mendl Shaw is an in
 ternationally recognized choreographer and dance educator whose unique int
 er-species approach to movement education and choreography has influenced 
 dancers throughout the States and Europe. Shaw's site works for The Equus 
 Projects bring dancers and horses into shared landscapes in works made for
  festivals\, arts presenters\, equine venues\, and museums. Equus has crea
 ted works in 21 States and in Europe. The Equus Projects' OnSite NYC serie
 s has brought kinetic invention into urban landscapes. Shaw received two N
 EA Choreographic Fellowships and 2018 and 2019 National Endowment for the 
 Arts Interdisciplinary grants for her multi-year creation projects in the 
 Pullman District of South Chicago.\n\nThis residency is generously support
 ed by the CLA Ann Gill Visiting Lecturer and Artist Award\, and the Lilla 
 B. Morgan Memorial Endowment.
