Moving Through Parkinson’s Presents a Film Screening: My Brain Has a Mind of Its Own

Moving Through Parkinson’s, a Colorado State University Dance-affiliated community program, presents My Brain Has a Mind of Its Own. The new documentary shines a light on the transformative role of movement, dance, creativity, and community for people living with Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative challenges, highlighting how connection provides meaningful opportunities for engagement and well-being.

The film will be screened in communities across Colorado and Wyoming this fall and include panel discussions, and educational events.

Film Screenings

Each screening is an opportunity for audiences to experience the film and engage with people directly involved in the program. Panel discussions will feature MTP participants, Theobald, Morgan; select events include faculty and students from music therapy, occupational therapy, healthy aging, and related fields.

The fall screening series advances MTP’s broader mission of dance education advocacy and community engagement by sharing the stories and experiences of people living with Parkinson’s outside of the traditional classroom or clinical setting.
