The Annual Dance Conference attendees include dance students and teachers from Colorado and multiple regional neighboring states; National Honor Society for Dance Arts students; dance teachers in K-12 public, private, and charter schools; university level teachers from within Colorado and neighboring states; regional & national choreographers; regional and national dance administrators and advocates; health professionals.
Opening and Closing Showcases feature student and professional choreography.
Student Track: college entrance and scholarship audition classes in Ballet and Jazz, the opportunity to have work choreographed on them by renowned choreographers, special elective workshops and performance opportunities.
Student Scholarships: Students who excel in talent, focus, dedication and artistry will be considered for one of three scholarships awarded by CoDEO to be used towards their future dance education (i.e tuition for a studio, workshop, or college).
Professional/Educator Track: engaging panel discussions, a wide selection of workshops-both inside and outside of the studio, group movement sessions, performance opportunities, and the unexpected meeting of new friends!
Continuing Education Credit: Teachers may earn credit for attending one or two days of the conference.
Choreography from students, instructors, and professionals are all welcome to be submitted for inclusion in our Conference Kick Off: Saturday, January 25, 2020.
