Ranjani Vedanthan studied Bharatanatyam (Vazhuvoor style) under Guru Smt. Padmini Ravi of Bangalore, and studied Carnatic Sangeet and Bharatanatyam (classical south-Indian vocal music and dance). In 1995, she completed her arangetrams in Bangalore, India. Ranjani has studied ballet, belly dance, and Kathak (north-Indian classical style). In 2003, she received her ghungroos, a significant milestone symbolizing her commitment dance studies. Vedanthan’s choreography has been featured in productions ranging from ballet to Native-American to spoken-word, and she has performed throughout America, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. She currently performs and offers lessons at Kalapriya School of Dance in Fort Collins.
