Some of the theatres Karl has worked at include The Omaha Playhouse, Center Stage: Baltimore, New Mexico Repertory Theatre ,Opera Memphis, Memphis Ballet, Contemporary Theatre: Boise, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, St. Michael's Playhouse, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Dartmouth Summer Theatre, BDT Stage: Boulder, Curious Theatre: Denver. He received his BA in Fine Art from Dana College and an MFA in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of South Dakota. His specialty is in the 3-dimensional form and texture. He best describes himself as "a sculptor who paints." When he gives himself time, he can be found drawing, painting, weaving junk together, or reading. And he is a cat person.
