American Lullaby: Still Singing

American Lullaby: Still Singing
Featuring IMPACT Dance Company with CSU Dance Program Guests

American Lullaby – Still Singing is an evening-length dance theatre performance created by Judy Bejarano, artistic director of IMPACT Dance Company. This collaborative performance features IMPACT company members as well as faculty and students of the Colorado State University (CSU) Dance Program. American Lullaby – Still Singing is part of CSU’s thematic “Year of Democracy” and provides a compelling creative link between the university and the community.

American Lullaby – Still Singing was born as a response to the political and social climate that exists in our country. Through movement, projected image and live text, the performance draws parallels between times in history where the “other” was marginalized, where turmoil brought about change and how the past is reflected in our present. The audience will be immersed in a collage of images, topics and rich movement.

The performance features CSU Faculty, Judy Bejarano (creator and director), Emily Morgan, Madeline Harvey, Susie Garifi, Lisa Morgan, Julia Cooper. Also featured are CSU Dance majors, Macala Bartucci, Camryn Martin, Corey O’Keefe, Ellie Schroeder, Liam Teagarden, Mikayla Zavatarro, and recent CSU alums, Binyamin Salzano, Grace Cooper, and Jasmine Burns.

Funding provided by AWE – Arts Without End, City of Fort Collins, Fort Fund, Colorado Creative Industries, Colorado State University’s Thematic Year of Democracy, and Colorado State University Dance Program
