Oriental dance master classes taught by Seemie Xavier

Seemie Xavier is based in Aurora, and performs and teaches Oriental dance and Bollywood dance in the metro Denver area and along the Front Range. Since 2010, she has performed regularly at private parties and functions, gala and charity events, world dance festivals, and belly dance productions. Seemie has performed repeatedly at numerous fairs and festivals, including the Boulder Creek Festival, the VAC Boulder International Dance Festival, and The People’s Fair in Denver. She has been a featured dancer at Middle Eastern and Indian restaurants in Longmont, Boulder, Denver, Manitou Springs, and Colorado Springs.

Along with teaching privately, in workshops and as a clinician, Seemie is a dance instructor for Aurora Dance Arts. She has taught for Colorado Free University and the Aurora Public Schools Compass Program, and has been a guest artist at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Seemie continues to evolve her Oriental dance style, drawing from her training in Egyptian, Turkish, and Lebanese styles. She has studied Middle Eastern Dance with a variety of instructors, including award-winning and internationally-acclaimed individuals in the field.

A classically trained flutist, Seemie also holds a Master’s degree in Music. She is grateful for her background as a professional musician, her childhood world travels with her family, and her love of music and dance, all of which enrich her dancing.
