LIVESTREAM: Fall 2020 Dance Capstone- Dare to Know

Note: Tickets can be purchased starting one week prior to the event. Ticket sales for live-streamed events end 15-minutes prior to the start of the performance.

The fall capstone dance concert features the creative work of senior dance majors, Sophia Cardinal, Payton Lauer, Brianna Port, Taryn Santeramo, and Emily Wallace, performing dances for film. Read the program.

Performer Information:

promotional graphicSophia Cardinal has had her choreography, Great and Sudden (2019) and Blessed be the Fruit (2020), chosen by faculty members for performance in CSU Dance concerts. In addition to multiple dance scholarships, she has been awarded the Western Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship.

 

promotional graphicPayton Lauer-Duarte has been on scholarship for the dance program every year since coming to CSU and is part of the University Honors Program. The current president of the Dance Student Advisory Committee, she is committed to giving students of CSU Dance a platform to have their voices heard. As part of her presidential role, Payton composes weekly newsletters, organizes fundraisers, hosts monthly meetings, and program-wide events.

promotional graphicBrianna Port is pursuing two degrees, a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in Biological Anthropology. Bri has been a part of student and faculty pieces, received dance scholarships, created outdoor video projects, as well as choreographed her first piece Remnants, which appeared in the 2020 Fall Dance Concert.

 

promotional graphicTaryn Santeramo has danced in several professor, student, and guest artist pieces and while at CSU, she had the opportunity to attend the American College Dance Association Northwestern and the National Dance Education Organization conferences. Taryn holds both the vice president and financial advisor positions in the student led organization, Dance Student Advisory Committee (DSAC). She has held a dance scholarship for her entire college career.

promotional graphicEmily Wallace has performed in faculty, student, and guest artist works in more than ten dance concerts, and was a part of CSU Theatre’s production of Cabaret. She also created original works — Resilience and Body and Color of Change — for CSU Dance productions. As co-founder and vice president of CSU Dance Club, she works to further bring people together through dance.

 

 

While there are no in-person events this fall, students, family, friends, and arts patrons can access live-streamed and/or on-demand performances created by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Livestreams will be hosted on our Vimeo account and access will be provided through csuartstickets.com. *Date, time, and program subject to change.
