Class with Kristin Hapke, (Occupational Therapy Doctorate Candidate, Certified in LSVT BIG, Pilates and Movement Analysis) will teach a movement class to enhance our function, coordination and fun in our daily lives. Kristin will incorporate her expertise as a tenured dance professor and Pilates instructor, along with her occupational therapy doctorate capstone project on Parkinson’s disease and upper extremity conditions and recent certification in LSVT BIG, a highly recognized and valued therapy for people living with Parkinson’s. Kristin brings her passion for movement and teaching to her classes and clients to enrich their lives with efficient movement patterns, greater strength and balance.

Fall & Recover: Explore ways to PREPARE for, PREVENT, and RECOVER from Falling
Led by MTP Director Lisa Morgan and Dr. John Zapanta, PT.
Dr. Zapanta PT, DPT received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Regis University in Denver, CO in 2012. He completed an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program at HonorHealth in Scottsdale, AZ. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and is Fellowship-Trained in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). There will be a minimal fee for this workshop.

Dancing Through Our Day led by Sarah Parsons and Izzy Dodge, both first-year doctoral students in occupational therapy (OT), are passionate about blending OT principles with the therapeutic benefits of dance and movement to enhance both physical and mental wellness. This session will incorporate dance, mindfulness-based techniques, and strategies for navigating daily activities, designed to equip individuals with practical tools to enhance their physical engagement throughout the day.

Healthy Hydration, Lumph, and Elimination – a webinar with Heidi Huser Hackler. Heidi is a Functional Wellness and Nutrition coach, Reiki master, and author and believes in a holistic approach to health and wellness.
