Carrie Care, Publicity Coordinator Carrie.Care@colostate.edu Please include ‘SPRING 2014 INTERNSHIP’ in the subject line Marketing & Publicity Internship The Marketing and Publicity Intern will gain hands-on experience creating professional marketing pieces for University Center for the Arts (UCA) events. This individual will work with the UCA marketing team to publicize events through various media, such as the Web, print, social media, and additional outlets. This position will allow the student to expand his or her professional portfolio while working in a vibrant, creative atmosphere.Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work closely with the Publicity and Alumni Coordinator and Marketing and Development Assistant in development of event marketing and communications plans.
- Manage the college’s presence in various social media environments – including Facebook and Twitter.
- Assist with fulfillment of publicity calendar for UCA events.
- Assist with writing press releases and special interest stories.
- Craft weekly marketing e-mail newsletter.
- Enter information updates on online CSU and community calendars.
- Proofread and edit projects.
- Assist with on-campus marketing efforts (LSC screens, table tents, and posters)
- Uphold college and university branding and communications guidelines.
- Additional communications, marketing, and event-related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current CSU student, available Spring of 2014
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency in social media marketing
- Ability to excel in a collaborate, team-oriented environment and work independently
- Strong work ethic and commitment to detail
- Copy editing ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interns are eligible to receive course credit
- Experience with Constant Contact a plus
Graphic Design Internship
The Graphic Design Intern will gain hands-on experience developing print and online marketing pieces for University Center for the Arts (UCA) events. This individual will work with the UCA marketing team to create professional, eye-catching designs that reflect the creative nature of the college.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Publicity and Alumni Coordinator and Marketing and Development Assistant in development of event marketing and communications materials.
- Work with artists and directors in the design process of marketing materials as needed.
- Design front cover of Fall 2014 Performance and Exhibition Guide.
- Uphold college and university branding guidelines.
- Additional communications, marketing, and event-related duties, as assigned

- Current CSU student, available Spring of 2014
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows
